RE: REQUEST FOR SPEED ZONING TO 35 MPH ON 35TH AVENUE, BETWEEN
4TH STREET AND "F" STREET AND SPEED ZONING TO 45 MPH ON
35TH AVENUE FROM "F" STREET TO "O" STREET.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Engineering Services
has recommended to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado that conditions exist which make it necessary to post
the speed limit on 35th Avenue between 4th Street and "F" Street
at 35 MPH to insure safety to the traveling public and to post
the speed limit on 35th Avenue from "F" Street to "O" Street at
45 MPH to insure safety to the traveling public, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the
recommendations of the Department of Engineering Services, and
has determined that said speed limit zones to 35 MPH and 45 MPH
are necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners that the Board deems it advisable and in the best
interests of Weld County to regulate, warn and guide traffic, as
more fully stated above, and that said traffic control devices are
for the safety of the general public, and must further conform to
the State Manual and specifications .
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 11th day of
October, A.D. , 1978 .

Subject: Proposed Speed Limit Device Installation on 35th Avenue
It has been requested to me that a permanent resolution be adopted
on 35th Avenue, between 4th Street and F Street to establish the
speed limit of 35 miles per hour and fran F Street to 0 Strcct be
established at 45 miles per hour.
The reason for this speed limit installation is that there is
residential and industrial traffic between 4th Street and F
Street. It was recommended that 45 miles per hour be placid on
F Street to 0 Strcct due to less traffic and fewer entrances.
Please adopt the necessary resolution for the above mentioned
speed limit installation.
