RE : APPROVAL OF SPECIAL USE APPLICATION FOR THE USE OF PORTIONS
OF THE PAWNEE NATIONAL GRASSLANDS FOR BORROW MATERIAL SITE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Department of Interior,
Bureau of Land Management, to execute an updated Special Use
Permit for borrow material extraction by Weld County, Colorado,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners desires to execute
said Special Use Permit application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that Said Board execute the
updated Special Use Permit application for extraction of borrow
material from sites on the Pawnee National Grasslands as submitted
by the Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of
June, A.D. , 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was read into the record
and signed on the 13th day of June, A.D. , 1977.

A sparsely vegetated gravel ridge which straddles road #120 overlooking the
west fork of Willow Creek. Gravel has been produced from this deposit since
prior to 1957. The area is suitable for continued use. ter,

Gentlemen:
Enclosed are the original and two copies of Special Use
Application for a borrow pit located on the Pbenee National
Grassland.
A new application is necessary to update your old permit
and allow expansion north into the other area. A request for
this permit was received verbally from George Nlorgheim a short
time ago.
Please sign and return all three copies of the application to
our office and we will then forward them to our Fort Collins
Office for permit preparation. Thank you.
