Dear Mayor Karspeck,
This is a letter of support for the Town of Berthoud's Tier II Energy Impact Assistance Grant
application to the Department of Local Affairs for the reconstruction of Weld County Road (WCR) 7
from SH 56 south to Serenity Ridge Subdivision. The Board of Weld County Commissioners
unanimously agreed to contribute $100,000 towards the local match of this grant. In return,
Berthoud agrees to annex the remaining joint ownership of WCR 7 to WCR 40.
Similar to the last grant application, the Board of Weld County Commissioners supports this grant
application and project because we believe this roadway is an important parallel arterial corridor to
I-25 and is being impacted by oil and gas facilities in the county.
