RE:
Expedition Water Solutions Colorado, LLC. Injection wells.
Location: Weld County section 22 T2N-R67W-and additionally sections 21 and 23.
While residing at a considerable distance from the location in question and having arrived
in the area on August 3rd to survey section 22 west and discuss county hearings and the
impact on local parties, I was apprised of issues which were not offered in mailings to
southern Kansas. I am hereby commenting on issues which will impact our land ownership
and mineral holdings which are part of the Carl R. Deepe trust. These are in brief:
- the ultimate impact on ground water at more surface levels which will become more
apparent with time.
-the effect on mineral holdings in areas surrounding said wells; their essence and future
value.
- the effect on existing gas and oil wells; their ultimate stability and production; and additionally
any future activity in the area.
- additionally any catastrophic affect due to seismic activity with the disruption well casings.
both horizontal and vertical oil and gas wells.
(the seismic activity due to water injection in wells in southern Kansas and Oklahoma).
-having a fund set aside for compensation of local land/mineral owners should inevitable issues
be presented.
- compensation mechanism for loss of perceived and actual value of real estate due to injection
well installation. This given eventual public concerns.
- third party evaluation of impact on adjoining mineral production areas.
-the compensation to adjacent land owners a function of the introduction of a foreign
non -natural material.
-introduction of a facility into a populated region will prove problematic with general public
concerns.
-what safeguards will be in place for the random testing of material deposited in wells.
-additionally, concerns by citizens in the area with respect to a failure early in the planning
process to requite input.
This type of enterprise is not static and will exhibit unforeseen problems due in part to
the nature of injection and the relationship to public perception.
Paul Deepe for the Carl Deepe Trust ownership; Weld County section 22 NW and SW.
