BOX 758 GREELEY, COLORADO 80632 The Honorable Vicki Marble 200 E. Colfax, Room 346 Denver, CO 80203 Dear Senator Marble, As you may already know, the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative (COSI) was established by the legislature in 2014. COSI's goal is to increase the number of Coloradans able to pursue and attain a certification or degree. The COSI program, with matching funds from the Bright Futures program in Weld County, has financially assisted over 401 Weld County students the last three years. COSI is seeking $4 million in state funding in this legislative session so the program can increase the number of scholarship grants and serve even more students. The Board of Weld County Commissioners would very much like to encourage your support of this funding request. Working cooperatively with the Bright Futures program, the additional COSI funds will assist even more Weld County students in attaining their educational goals.
