RE: PROCLAMATION OF LOYALTY DAY IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado , and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has determined that there is a need to express unity
and patriotic pride in Weld County, in the State of Colorado and
in the United States of America, and
WHEREAS, May 1 , 1979 is an appropriate time for all Ameri-
cans to honor the men and women in their respective communities
whose service in our nation ' s armed forces has been a major con-
tribution to the preservation of our freedom.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that they do hereby proclaim
Tuesday, May 1, 1979 as Loyalty Day and does hereby call upon all
Weld County citizens to join with the Board in observing this day
with appropriate ceremonies to serve as a reaffirmation of World
Peace as a national purpose.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of
April, A.D. , 1979 .
