The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the sole bidder, RM Equipment for two new
2018 Mill Razor 1260D Stabilizers. Public works has extensively researched this piece of equipment and has
had discussions with other county agencies that use this machine and others like it. Employees participated in
a demonstration of the machine use and were able to operate the machine for two days. Public Works staff
believes this is the best machine for the type of work we do.
The base price of each machine is $254,090.00. Option 6 (Manuals) are available at no additional cost.
The cost for two new 2018 Mill Razor 1260D Stabilizer/Reclaimers from RM Equipment with Option 6 is
$508,180.00.
There is $510,000.00 budgeted for this purchase.
