RE: APPROVAL OF EXTENSION OF CONTRACT FOR SERVICES WITH
MARIANNE LeCLAIR, CONSULTANT ON CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN
BURGER AND FRY SUBDIVISION, AND AUTHORIZATION FOR
CHAIRMAN TO SIGN SAME.
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County ,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, due to circumstances beyond the control of
Marianne LeClair, Consultant to perform certain services in
order to complete the acquisition of certain properties in the
Burger and Fry Subdivision, said Consultant has been unable to
complete the required services by the termination date, and,
therefore , requests an extension of time in order to complete
said requirements , and
WHEREAS , it has been recommended that the remaining work
to be completed can be finalized by March 31, 1978.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Extension of
Contract for Services with Marianne LeClair, be, and hereby is,
approved with an extension to March 31, 1978.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said Board, that the Chairman of
the Board is authorized to sign the same.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 20th day of
March, A.D. , 1978.

EXTENSION OF CONTRACT FOR SERVICES
THIS AGREEMENT, entered into as of this 20th day of March, 1978,
nunc pro tunc March 1 , 1978, by and between MARIANNE LE CLAIR, herein-
after known as "Consultant", and the COUNTY OF WELD, a body corporate and
politic of the State of Colorado, hereinafter known as "County" , acting
by and through its BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, on November 1 , 1977, the County contracted with
the Consultant to perform certain services in order to complete the
acquisition of certain properties in the Burger and Fry Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, the termination date of said agreement, set forth in
Section 4, as amended by the County on January 11, 1978, was midnight,
February 28, 1978, and
WHEREAS, due to circumstances beyond her control , the Consultant
has been unable to complete the required services by the termination
date, and requires an extension of time in order to do so.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereby mutually agree as follows:
Section 4 of the Contract for Services between Marianne LeClair
and the County of Weld is amended to read:
4. Term of Contract. All acquisitions of property covered
by this contract, except those requiring condemnation pro-
ceedings, if any, shall be completed by the Consultant by
midnight, March 31 , 1978. This Agreement shall expire by
its own terms at that time, or at such later time as the ac-
quistion of all subject properties is completed by eminent
domain, unless extended by agreement of the parties.
