RE: APPROVAL OF REQUEST FOR FIRE WORKS DISPLAY LICENSE FOR THE
GREELEY COUNTRY CLUB, P. O. BOX 447 , GREELEY, COLORADO,
80631, LOCATED IN THE NW4 OF SECTION 11, TOWNSHIP 5 NORTH,
RANGE 66 WEST OF THE 6TH P.M. , WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , Section 12-28-103, CRS 1973, provides that any
governing body has the power to grant permits , within the area
under its jurisdiction, for supervised public displays of fire
works by municipalities , fair associations , amusement parks and
other organizations and groups, and to adopt reasonable rules
and regulations for the granting of such permits , and
WHEREAS , the Greeley Country Club, a Colorado nonprofit
corporation, has requested permission to conduct a fire works
display on July 4 , 1977 at the location set forth in the title
of this Resolution, and has tendered a bond in the sum of
ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000. 00) in accordance with Section
12-28-104 , CRS 1973.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Greeley Country
Club of P. O. Box 447 , Greeley, Colorado 80631, be, and hereby
is granted a permit to conduct a fire works display on July 4 ,
1977 at the location set forth in the title of this Resolution.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 23rd day of
May, A.D. , 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was read into the record
and signed on the 1st day of June , A.D. , 1977.

of the City of Greeley in Weld County Colorado.
A LICENSE FEE OF $5. 00 PAYABLE TO WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
IS HEREBY TENDERED AND APPLICATION IS HEREBY MADE FOR A
DISPLAY FIREWORKS LICENSE , FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR 19 77 .
-Display to be conducted 7-4-77.
This license is issued subject to the laws of the State
of Colorado, especially HB1302, 49th General Assembly.

a Colorado non-profit corporation, is hereby held and firmly bound unto
the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado and the People
of the State of Colorado in the penal sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00)
lawful money of the United States of America for which payment, we do hereby
bind ourselves, our successors and assigns.
The condition of this obligation is to insure the compliance
with the provisions of C.R.S. 12-28-101 et seq.

Dear Chief Edwards;
Pursuant to the 1973 Colorado Revised Statutes, Section 12-23.103,
we have received a request for a fireworks display license.
Before a license is granted, the operator and the location and
handling of the display shall be approved, after investigation, by
a chief of the fire department of the city or town, or the sheriff of
the County, or their authorized agent.
The request was presented by the Greeley Country Club to conduct
a fireworks display on July 4, 1977 on the grounds of the Greeley
Country Club. Will you please investigate and present in writing
your findings.

Dear Mrs. Feuerstein,
In regards the request by the Greeley Country Club for a fireworks display
license, the following determination has been made.
By agreement with the management of the Greeley Country Club, the members
of the Western Hills Fire Department will discharge the fireworks with
fire equipment on scene standing by in the event of need. Personnel con-
ducting the discharge procedures will be attired in full protective gear
for maximum protection of those involved. The display will be conducted
around the country club lake to the southwest of the club house and aimed
in a direction to insure maximum safety from possible falling hot embers.
The entire operation will be under my direction and monitored by my staff
officers for maximum safty.
