Dear Commissioners,
I have had the opportunity to review the three vendor bids for the vehicle for the new District
Attorney's Office Investigator. My recommendation to the Board is to accept the lowest bid of
$23,197.00 for a 2018 Chevy Impala from John Elway Chevrolet in Englewood.
The basis for my recommendation is as follows: it is the least expensive option, the delivery date
is the soonest, and the equipment on the Impala meets the needs of our investigators the best (i.e.
the other two are specifically outfitted as police patrol cars, and our investigators do not need
that additional equipment). While I recognize that this is the only out of county bid, I believe the
cost savings justifies this selection.
