SUBJECT: Tandem Axle Trucks, Bid B1800020
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the lowest bidder that meets specs which is
MHC Kenworth-Greeley for the Tandem Axle Trucks. The lowest bidders, Volvo of Denver and Transwest
Truck Trailer RV, did not meet specs for the Extended Day Cab. The cost for one Tandem Axle Truck from
MHC Kenworth-Greeley is $116,517 with a total cost of $1,165,170.00 for ten trucks.
Maintenance and service manuals are available online at no charge.
There is $1,250,000 budgeted for this purchase.
