Notice is hereby given that the Town of Firestone Planning and Zoning Commission will
hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at the Firestone Town Hall, 151 Grant
Avenue, Firestone, Colorado 80520. The purpose of the hearing will be to consider a proposed
final plat and final development plan for Barefoot Lakes Filing No. 3.
Further Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Town of Firestone will
hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Firestone Town Hall, 151
Grant Avenue, Firestone, Colorado 80520. The purpose of the hearing will be to consider a
proposed final plat and final development plan for Barefoot Lakes Filing No. 3.
The approximate location of the property that is the subject of the hearings is southeast of
the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard (Road 28) and Birch Street (Road 11). The legal
description of the property is set forth in Exhibit A.
Any person may appear at the Public Hearings and be heard regarding the matters under
consideration. Copies of the application are on file and available for public inspection in the office
of the Town Clerk, 151 Grant Avenue, Firestone, CO 80520, during regular business hours.

re: Firestone Annexation No. 9 and No 10

Dear Commissioners:
As we had presented to you earlier this year during your development agreement deliberations
for the Barefoot Lakes development, the Town of Firestone has committed to annexing the
remaining adjacent roadways and effected roadways resulting from our recently completed
annexation of the Barefoot Lakes property. Attached is an exhibit that generally shows the
location of the roadways we will be seeking to annex. Most of these could not have been
included in the Barefoot Lakes Annexation because at the time they were still annexed to Mead.
Mead has subsequently disconnected them as part of an agreement with Firestone. We have
completed the necessary annexation maps and have been working with your staff to determine
if the form of annexation petition and annexation agreement we had previously used in 2010 for
a portion of WCR 26 is still the current form you desire. Once we have that determination we
will complete the DRAFT agreements and make a formal submittal to your staff to begin the
process.
Future improvement of these roadways, and the roadways already annexed with the
development. are addressed in the annexation agreement we have with the developer of
Barefoot Lakes. The developer is responsible for the majority of these improvements either
directly or through their metropolitan district. The development will be within the planned
Central Firestone Urban Renewal Plan Area but the only improvement associated with this
development the Plan anticipates potentially funding is related to the new or expanded Frontage
Road bridge over the St. Vrain.
