Dan,
Please see the attached forms to begin the downgrade process for well permit 13320-F, WDID
0205019. Also, I reached out to one of our permitting experts regarding the feasibility of approving
a downgrade and below is what she said,
"If the well was used for drinking and sanitary use inside the commercial business prior to May 8, 1972 they likely could register
the well for an annual withdrawal of 1 acre-foot for drinking and sanitary purposes inside the commercial business (no outside
uses). The well would be limited to 15 GPM and must be the only well serving the business. The well would need to have a
totalizing flow meter installed if such meter does not already exist.
1f the well was not used for drinking and sanitary purposes prior to May 8, 1972 they may be able to get a permit under the current statute
for up to 1/3 acre foot of annual withdrawal. The other restrictions would also apply.
That being said, we would have to reduce the commercial water right down to 15 gallons per minute rather than what I
previously told you of 50 gpm.
Anyway, please find the attached forms (Affidavit of Abandonment, welt permitting and construction forms GWS-45, GWS-57,
GWS-68 Et GWS-68A). Please also note that when you submit this packet of information, there is a permit application fee Et
you'll need to submit a copy of a deed to the property.
Please feel free to contact me or Joanna Williams (copied in) with questions.
Thank you
