HomeMy WebLinkAbout20181846.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING FOR THE JOBS FOR VETERANS STATE GRANT PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding for the Jobs for Veterans State Grant Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Employment and Training, commencing upon full execution of signatures, and ending June 30, 2020, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment memorandum of understanding, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment memorandum of understanding, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Amendment to a Memorandum of Understanding for the Jobs for Veterans State Grant Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Employment and Training, be and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said amendment to memorandum of understanding. Request Board Approval of the Departments' Employment Services of Weld County (ESWC) Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Amendment. The Jobs for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) MOU, identified in Tyler as 2018-0065, is being amended to cover the additional overhead and operational costs associated with two (2) additional co -located State Disabled Veterans Outreach Program staff that provide services at ESWC. The amendment increases the infrastructure cost line for the one -stop system from $8,692.00 to $17,384.00, and is for the performance period of January 1, 2018 -June 30, 2020. WHEREAS the parties entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (the "Original MOU") identified by the Weld County Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners as document No. 2018-0065 approved on January 16. 2018. WHEREAS the parties hereby agree to amend the term of the Original Agreement in accordance with the terms of the Original Agreement, which is incorporated by reference herein, as well as the terms provided herein. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, the parties hereto covenant and agree as follows: • The Original Agreement will end on June 30, 2020. • The Amendment, together with the Original Agreement, constitutes the entire understanding between the parties. The following change is hereby made to the Contract Documents: 1.
