Hello Esther,
We received a request from Broomfield today to decrease the amount of CCCAP allocation transferred
to them. Commissioner Moreno signed an original request Monday, June 19, for $100,000. We now
need to obtain his signature on the new transfer request for $30,000. Could you please advise as how
best to proceed in obtaining approval and Commissioner Moreno's signature?
I have attached the new request letter, as well as the original approved PA and original request letter for
reference.

Dear. Ms. Mewhinney,
Please accept this request to amend our previous request to transfer $100,000 from the SFY 2017-18
Child Care allocation from Weld County to the City and County of Broomfield. Our amended
request is to transfer $30,000, instead, and to transfer the related Child Care Maintenance of Effort
amount, which we estimate to be approximately $3,222. The respective Boards of County
Commissioners have agreed to this transfer and wish to affect this transfer in order to mitigate the
over -expenditures being experienced by Broomfield County and to utilize the funding available in
the most effective way.

and Denver County
Please review and indicate if you would like a work session prior to placing this item on the
Board's agenda.
Request Board Approval of the Department's Transfer of Colorado Child Care Assistance
Program (CCCAP) Funds to Broomfield County and Denver County. Boulder County, Broomfield
County and Denver County have requested a portion of Weld County's underspent CCCAP allocation.
Boulder has requested $400,000, Broomfield has requested $100,000 and Denver has requested
$500,000. In accordance with Information Memorandum No. IM-ECL-2018-0002, a county may transfer
a portion of its underspent CCCAP allocation to another county so long as the sending county submits a
letter to the State, signed by their signature authorities, acknowledging the specific transfer dollar amount
as well as the fact that the receiving county agrees to take responsibility for the corresponding
Maintenance of Effort (MOE) for the amount transferred.
I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval of these transfers and authorize the Chair to
