EATON FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
EATON, COLORADO Feb. 22, 1975
Weld County Planning Commission
Greeley , Colo.
Gentlmen,
We went over the Fagerberg map with Lyle Nelson last week regarding
the fire hydrants need for best protection. Mr. Nelson said he
would put the request in as we stated.
We feel with the anticipated construction that two hydrants On a
six inch line is needed.
Most generally we figure a hydrant to cover a radius of 500
feet. However, there are times when more is needed. It would be
best if we could look at each development and make a recommendation
for it.
We also feel that the minimum of a six inch line should feed all
hydrants, and we like a 21 in ch opening with Federal threads. We
talked with Mr. Nelson about this also.
We appreciate your cooperation in making fire fighting easier
in Weld county.
Hope this gives you the information you need.
Sincerely,
Ed Kummer, Sec. -Treas.
