HomeMy WebLinkAbout20181774.tiffMINUTES WELD COUNTY COUNCIL April 16, 2018 The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the Weld County Home Rule Charter at 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Weld County Administration Building, 1150 0 Street, Greeley, CO. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Gene Stille. Councilmen Brett Abernathy and Charlea_Tucker..w.ere present,.. constituting a_guorum.of ,members. ,Absent. were.:_Michael.._ Grilios, who was excused due to a medical issue, and Jordan Jemiola. Also present was County Attorney Bruce Barker and Council Secretary Linda Kane. APPROVAL OF AGENDA : Councilman Abernathy made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Councilman Tucker and carried. APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTATION: Approval of March 19, 2018, Minutes Councilman Stifle made a motion to approve the minutes, seconded by Councilman Tucker, and the motion carried. Approval of 1st Quarter Report to the People Councilman Tucker made a motion to approve the 15t Quarter Report to the People, seconded by Councilman Abernathy, and the motion carried. REVIEW PROGRAM: There was no review program. PUBLIC COMMENT: Carly Koppes gave a presentation regarding the fall audit of her office. She said her office has been working to complete suggestions and expects most of them to be fulfilled by the end of the year. Sherrie Pief of Greeley suggested that Council get a copy of a police report pertaining to an investigation involving an article published in the April 15 edition of the Greeley Tribune. NEW BUSINESS: Coordinator Reports/Councilman Reports There were no coordinator/councilman reports. eZmrY)ur1;Corti orv5 ©Cot(1/I8' 2018-1774 Bills Councilman Abernathy made a motion to approve bills, it was seconded by Councilman Tucker and carried. o Weld County Phone Bill for March $20.51 o Legal notice for 4th quarter RTTP in Greeley Tribune $33.09 OLD BUSINESS: Whistleblower Work Session Update Councilman Stille commented on the whistleblower work session that it had been delayed a couple times due to commissioner hearings being extended.
