ROLL CALL: The following members were present: Floyd Oliver, Vice President Robert Martin, Councilmember John Martin, Councilmember Nancy Clark, Councilmember Also present: Mr. Jenkins; Commissioner Roe; Bev Brown, Observer for the LWV; Rick Elliott; Mr. Guy Reasoner; Dale Cutler; Jim Reasoner; Jay Guy; 7 other citizens; 6 members of the press; and the secretary, Beverly Thomas. MINUTES: Nancy Clark made a motion, seconded by John Martin, that the June 6, 1978 meeting minutes be approved as submitted. The motion carried unanimously. CORRESPONDENCE: Floyd Oliver noted that the Council President had requested supplementary money for the Council 's mileage fund. NEXT MEETING DATE: Nancy made a motion, seconded by John Martin, that the Council not meet on July 4, 1978 and meet only once in July, (on July 18, 1978) , unless the President deems a special meeting is necessary. The motion carried unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS: Mr. Jenkins said that a roughdraft of the sign shop audit was completed and the motor vehicles audit would be ready for the next Council meeting. Nancy Clark felt that the Council should solidify the direction to be taken by Mr. Jenkins at this time. Nancy Clark reported that the Rules for Hearings, being prepared by Robert Ray, would be sent to Councilmembers' homes before the next Council meeting. Floyd Oliver reported on his meeting with the County Commissioners on June 7, 1978. He stated that several of the Commissioners expressed interest in the results of the Council 's motor vehicle audit. BUILDING INSPECTORS REPORT: Nancy Clark made a motion, seconded by Robert Martin, that the Council accept the Building Inspectors Report and send copies of it to the County Commissioners and to Gary Fortner. The motion carried unanimously. 780960 ©� Are;. 7/447Y r County Council Minutes June 20, 1978 Page 2 CITIZENS' CONCERNS: Mr. Rick Elliott presented information to the Council which he felt indicated that Commissioner Steinmark had a conflict of interest. He also presented information which he felt exposed wrong doing by the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District. Mr. Guy Reasoner, Mr. Dale Cutler, Mr. Jay Guy, and Mr. Jim Reasoner all spoke to the Council regarding the problems they had with the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District, and the "run around" that they had received from all public officials regarding the situation. Councilmembers explained the Council 's authority and powers. Councilmembers also requested that the persons submit specific written requests to the Council so a determination could be made as to whether the Council could be of any help to the citizens. Nancy Clark suggested that any written requests from these citizens should be mailed directly to Councilmembers so that the Council would be ready to make a decision at the next Council meeting as to any action in the matter. John Martin made a motion, seconded by Robert Martin, that the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously, and the meeting was adjourned at 11 A.M.
