SUBJECT: Out-of-State Training Trip Request for Three Employees
DATE: April 5,1978
In accord with the Weld County Administrative Code (Personnel Section) , request
County Board approval for the attendance of three Department caseworkers to at-
tend the 1978 Child Welfare League of America conference to be held in Albuquerque,
New Mexico May 15-18, 1978 (attached). I believe the conference sessions have
substantial training content aid therefore would improve the competence of these
staff members.
The employees would be granted paid administrative leave for 5 work days. All
other expenses - per diem, travel , and conference registration costs - would
be borne by the employee.
The Protective Service employees requesting attendance are:
Patricia Simpson, Caseworker II
Mary Tafoya, Caseworker II
Frankie Perdue, Caseworker II
Since there will be no direct or additional cost to the county, I feel that
this request comes under the "exception" rule in the Administrative Code.
Thank you for your consideration.
