BOX 758 GREELEY,COLORADO 80631 COLORADO October 29, 1975 Ms. Carol Ann Moore 1807 25th Avenue Greeley, Colorado 80631 Dear Ms. Moore: I found my day in a wheelchair to be a real eye- opener as far as the problems which face the handicapped dilly. I believe that the new Services Complex will be quite accessible to the handicapped. I have taken certain measures to insure that other county facilities are made more accessible whenever budgetarily or architecturally possible. I would be glad to meet with you to discuss improving county facilities. Feel free to contact my secretary for an appointment. ards,Rek /riellat Glenn K. The ablebodied, as you also know, are becoming increasingly aware of the prob- lems that are inflicted upon those with mobility limitations by the architectural barriers that have been built into our buildings. Now is the time to begin the elimination of these barriers especially in those structures under construction. You, Commissioner Billings, after having spent an entire day in a wheelchair-- an experience for which you are to be commended--are particularly cognizant of the problems faced each day by people with mobility handicaps. Perhaps, as a result of your wheelchair-day, you might be willing to talk with me and Katie Sorensen about what we see are some of the problems facing Weld County and its planners as these problems affect disabled Weld County residents. Any cooperation that you give us will be appreciated. Sincerely, Carol Ann Moore 1807 25th Avenue Greeley, Colorado 80631 353-1644 October 21, 1975 "Help Open The Doors" Hello
