WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 7th day of March, 2018, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of hearing the application of Pioneer Land Company, LLC, 4401 Coriolis Way, Frederick, CO 80504, c/o Northern Colorado Constructors, Inc., 9075 CR 10, Ft. Lupton, CO 80621, for a Site Specific Development Plan and Use by Special Review Permit, USR17-0072, for Mineral Resource Development Facilities, including Open Pit Mining (sand, gravel and stone) and Materials Processing in the A (Agricultural) Zone District on the following described real estate, to -wit: SW1/4 SE1/4 of Section 1, Township 2 North, Range 67 West; and part of the N1/2 of Section 12, Township 2 North, Range 67 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado WHEREAS, the Board heard all of the testimony and statements of those present and reviewed the request of the applicant and, having been fully informed, finds that this request be approved and the matter should be referred back to the Department of Planning Services for further consideration before being presented to the Planning Commission and/or the Board of County Commissioners.
