On behalf of Weld County, we would like expressed our full support and encouragement for approval of the Upstate Colorado
Economic Development application for Contribution Project status within the Weld County Enterprise Zone.
Upstate has been Weld County's primary economic development agency for 30+ years. The programs, services and efforts of
Upstate have played an important role in helping to facilitate the creation of significant new primary sector jobs and investment.
This employer growth has helped to stabilize, further diversify and improve the overall health of the Weld economy.
The public/private partnership structure of the agency has also proven to be a very effective in bringing the two sectors together to
facilitate quality growth while sharing the cost of economic development activities that benefit of the County, communities and
