Dear Mr. Lewis:
Weld County completed the Weld County Road (CR) 49 Project from 1-76 to Highway 392 in July. Weld
County residents are very proud of the completion of this important transportation project.
Currently, CDOT signage along I-76, both eastbound and westbound, refers to the Weld County Road 49 exit
as the "Kersey Road." The Weld County Board of Commissioners would like to request that new signage on
I-76 be changed by CDOT to reflect the current name of the road as designated by Weld County to "Weld
County Road 49."
We appreciate your consideration to update the signage on I-76 to reflect the name of the current road as
designated in our Weld County Road Classification Plan.
