RE: APPROVE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING AMENDMENT FOR THE
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD AND EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Memorandum of Understanding
Amendment for the Workforce Development Board and Employment Services between the
County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, on behalf of the Department of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor
and Employment, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, commencing upon full execution of
signatures, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said amendment, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said amendment, a
copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Memorandum of Understanding Amendment for the Workforce
Development Board and Employment Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department
of Human Services, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Vocation
Rehabilitation, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said amendment.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 21st day of February, A.D., 2018.

Request Board Approval of the Departments' Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Amendmentwtb
the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. This
Amendment to terminate the original MOU entered into June 29, 2016, identified as 2016-2053, was requested
by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. It has been
reviewed and approved by Karin McDougal. A new MOU, identified as 2018-0062, was approved by the
Board on January 3, 2018.
I do not recommend a Work. Session. I recommend approval of this -Amendment.

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTNADING
AMENDMENT BETWEEN
THE WELD COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
AND THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND
EMPLOYMENT. DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL
REHABILITATION
This Amendment, made and entered into day of 2018 by and between the
Board of Weld County Commissioners, on behalf of the Weld County Department of Human Services,
hereinafter referred to as the "Department", and the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment,
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor".
WHEREAS the parties entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (the "Original MOU") identified
by the Weld County Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners as document No. 2016-2053 approved
on June 29, 2016.
WHEREAS the parties are terminating the Original MOU because a new agreement has been
entered into by the partiies.
WHEREAS the parties hereby agree to amend and terminate the Original MOU and have entered into a
new MOU.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of these premises, the parties hereto covenant and agree as
follows:
• The Original MOU would have ended on June 30, 2019.
• After execution of this Amendment, the new MOU CMS #106380 will constitute the entire
understanding between the parties. The following change is hereby made to the original
Contract Documents:
1. The Original MOU will terminate on January 2. 2018. or the later of the effective date of this
Amendment
2. The Parties mutually agree to cancel and early termination of MOU 2016-2053 as of the
effective date of this amendment.
3. Except for those conditions that naturally survive, the parties shall be fully and
unconditionally released and discharged from their respective obligations arising from or
connected with the provisions of'the original MOU.
