RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE TEMPORARY
CLOSURE OF COUNTY ROAD 3 BETWEEN COUNTY ROADS 40.5 AND STATE
HIGHWAY 56 FOR APPROXIMATELY EIGHT (8) DAYS, FOR BRIDGE SURFACE
REPAIR
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 42-4-106(6)(a), C.R.S.:
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close to
through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion
thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days
for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road
closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative
routing of the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and personal
investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close
said County Roads to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic by posting
signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on County
roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic
control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon
for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the Federal
Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that County Road 3, between County Road 40.5 and State
Highway 56, be temporarily closed, with said closure being effective October 1, 2018, for
approximately eight (8) days for a bridge surface repair, and further, that standard official traffic
control devices shall be erected at said closure giving notice of the restrictions.

WCR 3 between WCR 28 and SH 66 is closed from 10/1/2018 thru 10/5/2018 for a culvert replacement.
eAE, WCR 3 between WCR 40.5 and SH 56 is closed from 10/1/2018 thru 10/8/2018 for bridge surface repair.
WCR 35 between WCR 78 and WCR 80 is closed from 10/1/2018 thru 10/5/2018 for a culvert
replacement.
WCR 390 between SH 14 and WCR 105 is closed from 10/1/2018 thru 10/26/2018 as part of the existing
WCR 105 closure from 7/16/2018 thru 11/15/2018 for road construction and paving.
