Michael Hall, Planner July 16, 2018 April 5, 2018 Case ## USR18-0025 Michael Hall Weld County Department of Nanning Services 1555 N 17th Ave Greeley, CO 80631 r, ? r Ft Weld uo.1nt'y f ` r_} I ti k_. „ We would like to DEFINITELY object to the request that property across the road from us belonging to Manuel Ruiz being rezoned to other than Agricultural. We moved out here 18 years ago, one of the reasons being that we were able to buy a small acreage, another reason was to get away from the noise and smells of more populated areas. This is our retirement home, we have worked very hard to be able to move to the country and enjoy life. Since the Ruiz Trucking company has moved in we have our view obstructed and the noise level as well as road damaged has increased tremendously. Cars are going in and out of the Ruiz property at all hours. The parking lot has anywhere from 6 - 9 trucks parked at any given time and when they are off of the property there are many cars., We are STRONGLY against any type of fuel storage on the property as welt Any chemical smells, i.e. diesel, for any length of time cause a migraine headache in my wife, which incapacities her. Since they moved in this has become a very large issue. Another reason is that with a trucking company across the road, our property value will tank, and as mentioned above this is our retirement investment that wiHl help pay for long term care when necessary. Ask yourself if you were lucky enough to have property in the country would you want 6-9 trucks in and out all the time. Plus the smell of diesel, dust kicked up all the time on the road, and road damage? This is agricultural land and we would like to see it stay that way. If the Ruiz family wants a trucking company let them build one where other companies are, in an industrial area. Kurt & Debbie Sheldon July 2, 2018 Mr. Michael Hall Weld County Planning Services 1555 N 17th Ave Greeley, CO 80631 Dear Mr. Hall, R Er r. r) JUL 10 2018 Weld County GREELEY Ur rICE We received the notice of the hearing for the Ruiz Trucking case # USR18-0025. 18-0025. We have tried and can not get time off from work to attend this meeting. We would like to reiterate that we are completely against a trucking company directly across from our home. As we stated in the previous letter, these trucks are going in and out as early at 5:30 am and 10:30 pm. The lights from the trucks shine directly into our bedroom, this is very disrupting to our home life. The traffic which also includes the pickups and cars are in and out as well. They are also running 7 days a week so there is no reprieve from the noise, dust and lights from the vehicles. There is anywhere from 6 to 9 trucks involved. The best solution is to not grant the chan a in zoning and that is what we are asking you to do. The second solution is to set the amount of trucks (4) going in and out as well as setting hours they can operate to 7:00 am to 5 pm. 5 days a week only, no Saturday or Sunday. The weekend is time for family and friends and at this time we can not have functions at our home with family and friends without hearing the trucks, traffic and dealing with the dust. This is extremely important to us as home owners, there is NO peace and quiet in our area anymore and it's very upsetting. Please consider this letter completely and with understand of its importance before making your decision. God Bless you in making your decision, thanks for your time. Kurt & Debbie Sheldon Hello
