RE: DENIAL OF FUNDING OF ARSON GRANT.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a proposal has been presented to the Board of
County Commissioners concerning the funding of a Joint Arson
Control Task Force comprised of personnel from fire service, law
enforcement and prosecutors, and
WHEREAS, said proposal involves one investigator from the
Weld County Sheriff ' s Office and one Deputy District Attorney from
the District Attorney' s Office in Weld County, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners feels that due to
the lack of funds, Weld County would not be able to participate
in said program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the funding for the
arson grant be, and hereby is , denied.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 22nd day of
August , A.D. , 1979.
