RE: DISSOLVE CHANGE FUND AT DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS,on August 17, 1987, the Board granted the request to establish a Change Fund
for the District Attorney's Office, in the amount of$50.00, and
WHEREAS, on November 9, 1992, the Board granted the request to increase said Change
Fund from $50.00 up to $70.00, and
WHEREAS, the District Attorney's Office can no longer charge for discovery, nor are they
taking bad check payments, therefore, the fund is no longer necessary, and
WHEREAS, the Controller has recommended the Change Fund for the District Attorney's
Office be dissolved and transferred back to the General Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it
advisable and in the best interests of Weld County to approve said recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado,that the Controller, be, and hereby is, authorized to dissolve the Change Fund for
the District Attorney's Office, in the amount of$70.00, and transfer the funds back into the General
Fund.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 5th day of November, A.D., 2018.
