Fore C, LLC 115 East 4'h Street Road Greeley, CO 80631 Phone: (970) 35C -?208 bcfleet@live.com Executive Summary Fleet Collision Services, Inc. and Fore B, LLC. collectively own and operate a large truck and vehicle repair facility founded in 2010. Over the past eight years, the business has grown rapidly through a combination of a highly competent team of technicians, painters, and supervisors; strong relationships with vendors; and superior customer service. This winning combination has resulted in contracts with corporate logistics and truck operations and the military, customers who use Fleet Collision Services exclusively for their repairs, and a facility that is booked to capacity for months in advance. The growth in the business and demand for services has caused a need for the business to expand by adding an additional 2,400 square feet of space to the existing facility in order to improve the efficiency of operations. The expansion is budgeted to cost nearly $200K, which the business plans to fund through the use of existing cash flow and a line of credit. The business hopes to obtain a grant to ease the burden of building this expansion so that cash flow may be invested in other key parts of the business, most notably the employees. Mission Statement To be the number one large truck and vehicle repair facility in the Denver-Julesburg Basin of northern Colorado and the surrounding area. Goals & Objectives Goal 1: Maintain our standard of superb customer service. Goal 2: Provide a desirable environment and culture for our employees by offering competitive pay and benefits, and a teaming atmosphere. Goal 3: Expand our facility to accommodate growth and provide capacity for employees to perform their job efficiently. Goal 4: Sustain our financial stability to provide for improvement of prior 3 goals. Business Description Fleet Collision Services, Inc., or FCS, is a Colorado corporation incorporated in May 2010. FCS is a large truck and vehicle repair facility, focusing on semi tractors, farm equipment, recreational vehicles, military crates, and other large industrial and commercial equipment. Fore B, LLC., or Fore B, is a Colorado limited liability corporation incorporated in March 2013. Fore B wholly owns the facility where FCS conducts daily operations. Except as context otherwise requires, "we," "our" and "us" refer to FCS and Fore B, collectively. Some of our competitive advantage comes from the 60' paint booth at our facility, which allows us to repair and restore large equipment that cannot be accommodated at standard repair facilities. The additional services that we provide to our customers, including mobile repair estimation, frame alignment, sandblasting and bed liner application, only increases our advantage, making us one of the few shops in northern Colorado to provide nearly a full spectrum of equipment repair and upgrade services. Through consistent practice of exceptional customer service and quality repair activities, FCS has achieved the success we enjoy today in Colorado, and as far reaching as Casper, Wyoming, and North Platte, Nebraska, with many Eastern plains customers in between. Market Research Repair facilities like FCS provide services to a wide range of customers, including trucking and logistics organizations, government and military, and independent transportation providers. FCS in particular services national logistics organizations; local, state, and federal government; military; independent trucking companies; agricultural operations; and individuals with large equipment and vehicles. In the analysis that follows, we discuss our top competitors and their strengths and weaknesses as compared to ours, and how we have established a competitive advantage. Competition 1. Eaton Paint & Body; located in Eaton, Colorado a. Strengths i. Personalized customer service due to small shop size in a small town ii. Conveniently located on Highway 85 b. Weaknesses i. No capacity to store damaged equipment and vehicles prior to repair work ii. Small shop with no room to expand 2. Iron Mountain Truck & Auto; located in Windsor, Colorado a. Strengths i. Located on Highway 34 near the interchange with Interstate 25 b. Weaknesses i. Large overhead due to number of employees required to operate the business in a large building ii. Customer service lacks a personal touch due to the size of the business 3. Diversified Body & Paint; located in Denver, Colorado a. Strengths: i. Large facility with capacity to serve many customers simultaneously b. Weaknesses i. Large overhead due to number of employees required to operate the business in a large building ii. Customer service lacks a personal touch due to the size of the business Our Competitive Advantage FCS enjoys a competitive advantage due to the following factors: A. We scale our employee count to our facility size and customer demand in order to avoid unnecessary overhead spend; B. Our business size and emphasis on services results in a personalized customer experience that makes our customers feel like more than "just a number;" C. Our facility is located on Highway 85 and is a convenient distance from other major thoroughfares running both north -south and east -west (i.e. Highway 34, Interstate 80, and Interstate 25); and D. Our property size provides for a large space for our customers to drop off and store their equipment prior to and during repairs (approximately 40 pieces of equipment at a time). Site Analysis As mentioned in the prior sections, our business is located in Greeley, Colorado, along Highway 85. The 1.5 acre lot resides at the end of a large cul-de-sac, which allows our customers to easily transport their equipment to our facility. The lot also provides room to expand the building without compromising the ample storage space. As our customer base has grown, we have found that the building does not provide the capacity necessary for our employees to perform their jobs efficiently; as a result, we plan to expand the building square footage to provide more space so that we may repair more equipment simultaneously. Ultimately, our planned expansion will increase capacity, allowing us to work more effectively and efficiently in order to generate more earnings. We will also be capable of maintaining current operations during the expansion construction, with a timeframe of two months from start to completion, which will result in minimal impact to our financial well-being. Marketing Plan FCS is an established business, and has marketed to customers primarily through word of mouth passed from customer to customer over our approximate eight years of operations. Aside from word of mouth, we have also established a company profile on Google for potential customers' reference. Beyond formal marketing, the owners and employees at FCS have also made community and industry involvement a priority. In addition to participation in industry groups like the PPG Commercial Truck Group, FCS has also sponsored charity events and partaken in events hosted by other industry participants, resulting in invaluable networking and marketing opportunities. FCS does not have a formal marketing budget due to the emphasis on word of mouth and industry involvement. Management Plan FCS is owned and served by multiple individuals on whom its success depends. In our eight years of operations, we have also analyzed the risks to our business and how to manage those risks as pertains to business processes and key personnel. Key Personnel Butch Caton, Co-owner — With more than 40 years of experience in the collision repair industry, Mr. Caton is responsible for overall management of operations and shares responsibility for customer interfacing with Mrs. Caton. Mr. Caton is well established in the industry and is the only remaining PPG Master Certified Painter in the nation. Using his experience and expertise, he leads the FCS team in problem -solving and analyzing repairs to complete work in accordance with the business' high standards of excellence. Bettylynne Caton, Co-owner — Along with sharing customer interface responsibilities with Mr. Caton, Mrs. Caton is responsible for bookkeeping and front -of -the -house operations at FCS. She has accumulated nearly 30 years of experience in office and accounts management, which assists her in effectively managing FCS' accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and taxes. Notable Supplier Pittsburgh Paint and Glass ("PPG") — Along with being FCS' only supplier of paint products and materials, PPG has also heavily influenced FCS' business model and process development. FCS is one of 20 North American commercial equipment repair facilities that participate in the Commercial Truck Group, established mainly to provide complementary enterprise management training and networking, which includes access to vendors. The group convenes regularly to discuss benchmarking values and process analyses specific to the industry. By providing FCS access to this group, PPG has allowed FCS owners and personnel to gain valuable insights into current processes and procedures that can be altered to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations. Contingency Plan In order to address the risk of dependency on a few key personnel, FCS has established a training and mentorship process whereby new employees are paired with experienced personnel, and experienced personnel are trained to manage more complex processes and areas of the business. As a result, there is not a process or activity at the business over which only one member of the team has knowledge and capability. Financial Plan Our building expansion is anticipated to cost $200K in total, and will add 2,400 square feet to the existing building. We have begun financing the project with a $28K deposit, and have entered into an agreement for a line of credit with Bank of Colorado to fund the remaining balance. As a result of the expansion, we project the following growth in our business: Financial item 2016 2017 2018* 2019** 2020** Gross of goods profit sold) (Net receipts less cost $ 1,217, 400 $1,207,054 $1,225,000 $1,262,000 $1,300,000 * Represents full year forecast with a partial year of operations with building expansion. ** Represents forecast of a full year of operations with building expansion. With our growth in gross profit and current sources and uses of cash, we expect to repay the line of credit within one year of withdrawal.
