SUBJECT: Double Axle Trailer, Bid B1800031
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the lowest bidder that meets specs, Power
Equipment, for one Double Axle Trailer. The lowest bid from All Colorado Semi Trailers did not meet specs for
Deck Length at only 16 feet, 6 inches instead of 20 feet per the specifications.
Power Equipment brought it to the attention of the Purchasing Department that they were left off the bid
tabulation. Our IT department confirmed the emailed bid for Power Equipment was quarantined by the security
system and we were not aware of their bid until they brought it to Purchasing's attention. It was confirmed that
their bid was time stamped prior to bid opening.
The total cost for one Double Axle Trailer from Power Equipment is $14,196.00.
There is $31,000 budgeted for this purchase.

Equipment Company, for one Double Axle Trailer. The lowest bid from All Colorado Semi Trailers did not meet
specs for Deck Length at only 16 feet, 6 inches instead of 20 feet per the specifications.
Maintenance and Service manuals are available online at no cost.
The total cost for one Double Axle Trailer from Wagner Equipment Company is $14,918.67.
There is $31,000 budgeted for this purchase.
