SUBJECT: Tandem Axle Dump Truck w/Sander/Plow/Wing,
Bid B1800122
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the sole bidder, Transwest Truck Trailer
(Kois), for one tandem axle dump truck with sander, plow, and wing. The bid from Transwest Truck Trailer
(Auto Truck) does not meet specifications for hydraulic locking pins on the snow plow (Item 1).
The base price of the tandem axle dump truck is $228,034.00.
Option 2 (Power Float for Plow) is included in the base price and Option 3 (Stainless Steel Tubing for
Hydraulics) is included in the base price.
The cost for one Tandem Axle Dump Truck with Sander, Plow and Wing with Options 2 and 3 is $228,034.00.
There is $270,000 budgeted for this purchase.
