SUBJECT: 13 -Ton Double Drum Vibratory Roller, Bid B1800027
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the low bidder, Power Equipment Company,
for one 2018 Bomag BW 191 AD -5 HF Vibratory Roller at a cost of $141,357.00. The lowest bid from Power
Equipment for a Bomag BW 190 machine did not meet specs for engine horse power and water tank size.
We would like Option #1 (Asphalt Surface Temperature Gauge) at a cost of $1,375.00 and Option #2 (On
Board Computerized Compaction Readout) at a cost of $1,765.00.
Maintenance and Service manuals are not available online.
The cost for one 2018 Bomag BW 191 AD -5 HF Vibratory Roller with the above options is $144,497.00,
There is $175,000 budgeted for this purchase.
