subject: Conservation Trust Fund Expenditures
According to the procedures given to the various towns for the expenditure of our
Conservation Trust Funds, the County is to enter into an agreement with a town,
prior to the construction of a project, committing a certain amount of money for
certain approved work. The Town of Platteville has carried out the necessary
bidding procedures and has now presented us with a proposal to begin work on their
Community Recreation Center. I believe the thing could be formalized with a
resolution from the Commissioners setting forth the terms and conditions for the
payment of Conservation Trust Funds to the Town of Platteville. Will you prepare
such a resolution around the following terms?:
1 . Weld County extended to the Town of Platteville a grant from Conservation
Trust Funds in the amount of approximately $3,524 on November 7, 1977,
following an application submitted by the Town of Platteville for assis-
tance in remodeling a Community Recreation and Senior Citizen Center and
in constructing a shelter at a park.
2. The Town of Platteville has informed the County that it has accepted low
bids from the following companies to perform the work:
Everitt Lumber Company (Lumber, panelling, kitchen cabinets, etc.)
$636.64
Bassett Carpet Company (126 2/3 yards) $1 ,133.70
A to Z Plumbing Company (kitchen & restroom) $500,00
A-1 Heating Company (heater vent) $40.00
3. The total expenses which the Town of Platteville wishes to be reimbursed
from Conservation Trust Funds are as follows:
Lumber, kitchen cabinets, etc. $636.64
Carpet 1 ,133,70
Plumbing 500,00
Heat 40,00
Cement Floor - restroom 100.00
Miscellaneous costs 100,00
SUB-TOTAL $2,510.34
Riverview park shelter (Platteville will match with $750)
250.00
TOTAL $2,760,34
4. Weld County agrees to commit $2,760.34 plus a 10% contingency amount for
unforseen cost increases to be paid to the Town of Platteville on the
following terms:
