HomeMy WebLinkAbout780675.tiff >, i, RESOLUTION RE: APPROVAL OF THE CONSERVATION TRUST FUND EXPENDITURES TO THE TOWN OF PLATTEVILLE, WELD COUNTY, COLORADO. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, following an application submitted by the Town of Platteville for assistance in remodeling a Community Recreation and Senior Citizen Center and in constructing a shelter at a park, on November 7, 1977, Weld County extended to the Town of Platteville, a grant from Conservation Trust Funds in the amount of $3, 524. 00, and WHEREAS, after receiving all bids, the Town of Platteville has informed the Board of County Commissioners that it has accepted the low bids from the following companies who will perform the work: Everitt Lumber Company (Lumber, paneling, kitchen cabinets, etc. ) - $636. 64 Bassett Carpet Company (126 2/3 yards) - 1133. 70 A to Z Plumbing Company (kitchen & restroom) - 500. 00 A-1 Heating Company (heater vent) - 40. 00 WHEREAS, the Town of Platteville is desirous of being reim- bursed from the Conservation Trust Funds in the following amounts: Lumber, kitchen cabinets, etc. $ 636. 64 Carpet 1, 133.70 Plumbing 500. 00 Heat 40. 00 Cement Floor - restroom 100. 00 Miscellaneous costs 100. 00 SUB-TOTAL $2, 510. 34 Riverview park shelter (Platteville will match with $750) $ 250. 00 TOTAL $2 , 760. 34 WHEREAS, it has been agreed that Weld County will commit the $2,760. 34 plus a 10% contingency amount for unforeseen cost in- creases to be paid to the Town of Platteville pursuant to the following terms: A. Following completion of the project, the Town of Platteville must report to Weld County, its acceptance of the project from its contractors. 9 / 41/ n.uk4.t B. Such report shall include an accounting of actual 780675 Lffk 757 plooes' rm expenses for the project and a request for reimbursement of a specific dollar amount. C. Upon receipt of this report and request for reimburse- ment, the County shall determine the amount of reimbursement and will make a single payment to the Town of Platteville. WHEREAS, it has been further agreed that Weld County will reimburse the Town of Platteville during the calendar year 1978 . It is therefore understood and agreed that the project should be completed and the request for reimbursement forwarded no later than December 1, 1978 , and WHEREAS, upon consideration of the aforementioned request from the Town of Platteville, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable and in the best interest of Weld County to approve the same in the amount of $2, 760. 34 plus a 10% contin- gency amount for unforeseen cost increases to be paid to the Town of Platteville through said Conservation Trust Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners that said Board does hereby approve the Conservation Trust Fund expenditures to the Town of Platteville, Weld County, Colorado, as more fully set forth above. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on moition duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th day of March, A.D. , 1978. County Att ney nee February 27. 1978 •;4 RADO From Tom Dority subject: Conservation Trust Fund Expenditures According to the procedures given to the various towns for the expenditure of our Conservation Trust Funds, the County is to enter into an agreement with a town, prior to the construction of a project, committing a certain amount of money for certain approved work. The Town of Platteville has carried out the necessary bidding procedures and has now presented us with a proposal to begin work on their Community Recreation Center. I believe the thing could be formalized with a resolution from the Commissioners setting forth the terms and conditions for the payment of Conservation Trust Funds to the Town of Platteville. Will you prepare such a resolution around the following terms?: 1 . Weld County extended to the Town of Platteville a grant from Conservation Trust Funds in the amount of approximately $3,524 on November 7, 1977, following an application submitted by the Town of Platteville for assis- tance in remodeling a Community Recreation and Senior Citizen Center and in constructing a shelter at a park. 2. Weld County agrees to commit $2,760.34 plus a 10% contingency amount for unforseen cost increases to be paid to the Town of Platteville on the following terms: Page Two a.
