Hello Cris; When will the planning dept. have it's hearing about Anadarco's permit? Many of the property owners around the operation attended the Anadarco meeting at the health club. We were told that nothing will change at the location. Anadarco has applied for a permit to move dirt on a small portion of the 160 acre site. What about all the other operations going on, on the remainder of the acreage. I have photos and have kept a record of the activity. Both Nathan and Reed of Anadarco told me that they will continue all of the following. 1. Manure spreaders will run 24 hrs a day to take care of the tailings from the drill rigs,and the soil farms. 2. The huge semi vacuum trucks that carry the liquid from the drills will operate 24hrs a day also. 3. Flat bed trucks that carry the large 55(8' hay bales will continue to run ( today there are approximately 2000 stacked). 4.Entire super well drill rigs will come and go waiting for the next site to drill. 5. All the related traffic to the super wells including employee's vehicles. I find it hard to believe that the dirt operation is considered agriculture. When I parked my tractor on rd. 18 around 30 18 wheel belly dumps were stopped on rd.18. Our neighbor Debbie counted 200 of these belly dumps in a 3 hour period. This activity has increased by a huge amount lately. This has been going on for a year with no permits. I can just imagine what will happen if they get a permit! Please let me know when the planning dept. will have it's hearing. I need to inform all the property owners and my attorneys to attend. Thank You! Reed informed me that Anadarco has the right to do what they are doing. I asked about the belly dump trucks and, Reed said no they are not agriculture or legal. I asked about the hay bale trucks and, Reed once again said they are not agricultural or legal either. We discussed the issue further and Reed stated that they would not be there much longer. I asked if he could tell me how much longer, and how many more trucks. Reed said he would find out and get back to me. January 25, Reed called me back and said he could not tell me how much longer or how many trucks to expect. I told Reed that they were running hundreds of trucks per day before and, asked him how many trucks we can expect per day? Reed told me that they have no idea.
