SUBJECT: 2018 Snow Plow Blade Bid, B1800161
The Public Works Department recommends the lowest bid from Wear Parts & Equipment be awarded for the
following items:
12 Foot Steel Blades at a cost of $111.29 each or a total cost of $6,677.40 for 60 blades.
Snow Plow Blades/Blade Inserts at a cost of $200.00 each or a total cost of $12,000 for 60 blades and inserts.
Replacement Wear Parts Blade at a cost of $1,359.39 per 12 foot blade or a total cost of $5,437.56 for four
replacement wear parts blades.
3 Foot Carbide Blade for Winq Plow at a cost of $150.23 each or a total cost of $1,502.30 for 10 carbide
blades.
We further recommend that the lowest bid from Valk Manufacturing be awarded for the Plow Guard Wear
Blocks at a cost of $84.82 or a total cost of $5,089.20 for 60 plow guard wear blocks.
The total cost of the above blades is $30,706.46.
