RE: AUTHORIZE EXTENSION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE COVERING CERTAIN
PROPERTY OWNED BY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO - NW1/4 NE1/4, S10, T3N,
R63W
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County is the owner of vast mineral lands located in Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Bonanza Creek Energy Operating Company, LLC, submitted a request to
extend the lease of 40 net mineral acres, more or less, described to -wit:
NW1/4 NE1/4 of Section 10, Township 3 North,
Range 63 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County desires to approve the request submitted by Bonanza Creek
Energy Operating Company, LLC, to extend the lease on the above -described mineral acreage
for $450.33 per net mineral acre, for a total sum of $18,013.33, which is to run for a period of six
(6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock noon on April 20, 2018, and ending at twelve o'clock
noon on October 20, 2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request submitted by Bonanza Creek Energy Operating Company,
LLC, to extend the lease on the above -described mineral acreage for $450.33 per net mineral
acre, for a total sum of $18,013.33, which is to run for a period of six (6) months, commencing at
twelve o'clock noon on April 20, 2018, and ending at twelve o'clock noon on October 20, 2018,
be, and hereby is, granted and approved.

To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the terms of your oil and gas leases, dated 4/20/2015 between WELD COUNTY and
Bonanza Creek Energy Operating Company, LLC as Lessee. Bonanza Creek Energy is hereby
exercising the option to extend the primary term of your 3 leases an additional 6 months, thru
10/20/2018 as allowed for by the language in your lease. Enclosed you will find Bonanza's check
# 81698, //81699, #81700 in the amount of $18,013.33, $36,026.67 and $ 18,013.33 as total
consideration for the lease extensions.
