Prairie Dog 16" Gas Pipeline and Metering Site
• Will transport and measure processed gas being delivered to Kinder Morgan from
its origination at the Fort Lupton Gas Plant.
• Will consist of approximately 1,700 feet (0.33 miles) of 16 inch steel pipeline,
above ground I/C appurtenances, and a communication tower (NTE 30 feet).
• Will extend west and terminate approximately 3/4 mile northeast of the intersection
of Weld CR 10 and CR 31.

• All steel pipeline constructed to 49 CFR Part 192 DOT standards.
• Experienced QA/QC inspectors oversee and monitor construction.
• Exceed the State and Federal minimum 3 feet depth of cover standard
✓ 5 feet or more at road and water crossings.
✓ 4 feet cover elsewhere.
• Weld to API Standard and x-ray 100% of welds (min. standard is 10%).
• Cathodic protection to prevent corrosion.
• Additional abrasive -resistant coating at all road and water directionally -
bored crossings.
• Hydrostatic testing above design pressure of all pipelines.
• Strategically placed block valves and pressure relieving devices.
