SUBJECT: Carbide Cutting Bits (Picks) Bid #B1800160
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to 4 Rivers Equipment, the lowest bidder that
meets specs and requirements, for 12,000 Carbide Cutting Bits. The bid from Wear Parts and Equipment did
not meet all specs and requirements for delivery.
The cost for Bit # 1 - 10,000 carbide bits is $6.76 each for a total of $67,600.00
The cost for Bit #2 — 2,000 carbide bits is $5.68 each for a total of $11,360.00
These bits are wear parts and are used in the road reclaimers and on the stinger blades in maintaining the
chemical roads.
