WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, a representative of the Weld County Department of Engineering Services has reviewed with the Board of County Com- missioners, the request of George Downing who was present at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of County Commissioners on January 11, 1978, and WHEREAS, in the January 11, 1978 Board meeting, Mr. Downing requested that all alleys in Block 8, the Town of Carr, Colorado, be vacated, and WHEREAS, after consideration of said request, the Board of County Commissioners referred the matter to the Department of Engineering Services for recommendations, and WHEREAS, the. Department of Engineering Services of Weld County, Colorado has recommended to the Board of County Com- missioners that the request to vacate all alleys in Block 8 of Carr, Colorado in Weld County, be denied. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com- missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the request to vacate alleys in Block 8, Town of Carr, County of Weld, State of Colo- rado, be, and hereby is, denied. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 30th day of January, A.D. , 1978. Due to the circumstances being the way they are, I would recommend this request be denied on the grounds that all alleys in Carr might be needed for utility purposes and =fire protection should this community grow at some future date. I have talked to Mr. Downing and Mr. Ivie, the only two residents in this block and they are apparently agreeable to leave things as they are for the time being. Gilman E. They took action , in their Board Meeting today, to deny your request to va- cate all alleys in Block 8 , Town of Carr, Therefore no changes will be made at this time and you can proceed from there.
