RE: ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING A MAJOR AMENDMENT, 1 MJUSRI9-14-0035,
TO A SITE SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND USE BY SPECIAL REVIEW
PERMIT, USR14-0035, (NATURAL GAS AND CONDENSATE SEPARATOR FACILITY
AND COMPRESSOR FACILITY) TO EXPAND THE BOUNDARIES AND TO ADD AN
AMINE SYSTEM TO TREAT GAS AND A CRYOGENIC PROCESSING PLANT
INCLUDING A 125 -FOOT FLARE IN THE A (AGRICULTURAL) ZONE DISTRICT- AKA
ENERGY GROUP, LLC
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners held a public hearing on the 24th day of
April, 2019, at the hour of 10:00 a.m., in the Chambers of the Board for the purpose of hearing
the application of AKA Energy Group, LLC, 125 Mercado Street, Suite 201, Durango, Colorado
81301, for A Major Amendment, 1MJUSR19-14-0035, to a Site Specific Development Plan and
Use by Special Review Permit, USR14-0035, (natural gas and condensate separator facility and
compressor facility) to expand the boundaries and to add an Amine System to treat gas and a
Cryogenic Processing Plant including a 125 -foot flare in the A (Agricultural) Zone District on the
following described real estate, to -wit:
Part of the W1/2 SW1/4 of Section 31, Township 4
North, Range 65 West of the 6th P.M., Weld County,
Colorado
WHEREAS, the Board heard all of the testimony and statements of those present and
reviewed the request of the applicant and, having been fully informed, finds that this request be
approved, and the matter should be continued to July 3, 2019, at 10:00 a.m., to allow AKA Energy
Group, LLC, adequate time to finalize the noise modeling study and conduct another community
meeting, and present to the Planning Commission on May 21, 2019.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to July 3, 2019,
at 10:00 a.m.
