SUBJECT: Flashing Stop Signs Bid, B1900030
The Public Works Department recommends the second lowest bid from Traffic & Parking Control Company
(TAPCO) be accepted for flashing stop signs. The price is $800.00 each without remote solar and $850.00
each with remote solar. We don't anticipate the need for remote solar at this time so the total cost for 40 signs
without remote solar would be $32,000.00.
TAPCO has a local facility for parts and repair and Sels USA does not. We were unable to find any information
regarding the flashing stop signs on the Sels USA website.
There is $60,000 budgeted for these flashing stop signs and replacement parts for 2019.
