RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENTS TO REGIONAL
COMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Regional Communications Advisory Board,
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to appoint
Nathan Spruce as the standing position Paramedic Services Representative, replacing
Mitch Wagy, Mike Knee as the standing position Sheriff's Office Representative, replacing
Kevin Holloran, and Kris Kazian as the Fire Chief At -Large Representative, replacing
Ron Pristera, with a term to expire December 31, 2020, and
WHEREAS, the terms for certain positions on the Regional Communications Advisory
Board will soon expire, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reappoint
Dave Gottschalk as the Police Zone North Representative, James Dilka as the Fire Zone North
Representative, and Barry Schaefer as the Fire Chief At -Large Representative, all with terms to
expire December 31, 2022.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Nathan Spruce, Mike Knee, and Kris Kazian, be, and hereby are,
appointed to the Regional Communications Advisory Board, with Nathan Spruce and Mike Knee
as standing positions, and Kris Kazian's term to expire December 31, 2020.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Dave Gottschalk, James Dilka, and Barry
Schaefer, be, and hereby are, reappointed to the Regional Communications Advisory Board, all
with terms to expire December 31, 2022.
