RE: APPROVE EMERGENCY BID #B1900105, FUJITSU SCANNERS WITH EXTENDED
WARRANTY, AND WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION
AND INVESTIGATION - DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology has requested waiver of the ten-
day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request #61900105, FUJITSU Scanners with Extended
Warranty, due to the requirement of the funding source used to procure these devices stipulating
that all devices must be received by Weld County on or prior to June 28, 2019, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day
waiting period for said emergency bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request #B1900105,
FUJITSU Scanners with Extended Warranty, for the Department of Information Technology, be,
and hereby is, waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid from 1st Run Computer
Services, in the amount of $24,752.00, be, and hereby is, accepted on an emergency basis.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 10th day of June, A.D., 2019.

SUBJECT: B1900105 - FUJITSU Scanners with Extended Warranty
BOCC Approval Date: June 10, 2019
Human Services Area Agency on Aging (AAA) has requested twenty-eight (28) Fujitsu
scanners to help facilitate their daily operational activities. The requirements of the
funding source used to procure these devices stipulates that all items must be received
by Weld County on or prior to June 28th, 2019. Therefore, we are requesting
presentation of an emergency bid with same day Bid Present and Bid Approval for the
scanner purchase.
Bids were received and opened on June 6, 2019 for bid B1900105 - FUJITSU
Scanners with Extended Warranty. Nine (9) bids were received ranging from
$24,752.00 to $35,000.00. Attached is the bid tabulation for your information.
The Information Technology staff reviewed each of the bids. 1st Run Computer Services
out of Garden City, NY proposed the lowest cost solution of $24,752.00 and meets the
required functionality documented in the bid process.
