RE: Vacancies on the Newell Lake Drainage District Board of Directors
Dcar Mr. Bradford and Ms. Covey,
Members of the Newell Lake Drainage District ("NLDD") have contacted the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County and asked to be appointed to the two current vacancies on the NLLD Board of Directors. This Board wants to
ensure that reasonable efforts are made to notify all NLDD members of the vacancies so that other District members may
apply if they choose.
The Board of County Commissioners is directing that the NLLD Board notify NLDD members of the vacancies by mail
or email. The letter should explain that only NLDD members are eligible to apply for one of two vacant positions.
Interested persons should contact Karla Ford by mail or email indicating his/her interest in the vacancy. Please advise the
NLLD members that they must contact Ms. Ford not more than 30 days after the date the notification letters or e -mails
are sent. The interested NLLD member should explain why he/she wishes to be appointed to the NLDD Board.

After the date for submitting a letter of interest has closed, the Board of County Commissioners will review the requests
and determine next steps to make the appointments. Please let Ms. Ford know when written notice of the vacancies has
been sent to NLDD members.
