RE: AMENDMENT TO THE RESOLUTION OF JULY 3, 1974 CONCERNING
THE CHANGE IN BOUNDARY LINES FOR THE COMMISSIONER
DISTRICTS IN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, The Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld
County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Evans, Colo-
rado, pursuant to Chapter III of the Home Rule Charter of
the City of Evans, adopted April 30, 1973, has by Ordinance
No. 420-79 re-adjusted Ward Boundaries so that they are
comprised of compact and contiguous territory and contain,
as nearly as possible, an equal number of inhabitants, and
WHEREAS, the adjustment of the Ward Boundaries has
resulted in the present Commissioner District Boundary lines
bi-secting Precinct 8027-4 , thereby causing confusion in the
conduct of the election, and
WHEREAS, the adjustment of the existing Commissioner
District Boundaries so as not to bi-sect any of the precinct
boundary lines willnot materially alter the- boundaries of
said Commissioner Districts with respect to population,
value of property assessment, revenues returned in amounts
of road in each district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Resolution
of July 3 , 1974 is hereby amended to exclude those parcels
of land within the Municipal boundaries of the City of
Evans, Colorado, which currently are situated within Com-
missioner District Number Two and which lie to the East and
South_ of a_ line_ described- as- follows-:-
Beginning at the intersection of the
centerline of U. S. Highway #85 and
the southerly boundary of the City of
Evans_,_ thence- North- along- the center-
line of U. S . Highway #85 to its inter-
section with the centerline of St. Vrain

Street, thence North along the center-
line of St. Vrain Street to its inter-
section with the centerline of 37th
Street, thence West along the center-
line of 37th Street to its inter-
section with the centerline of 11th
Avenue, thence North along the center-
line of 11th Avenue to its intersection
with the centerline of 31st Street,
thence East along the centerline of
31st Street to its intersection with
the centerline of U. S. Highway #85,
thence North along the centerline of
U. S. Highway #85 to the northerly
boundary of the City of Evans,
from Commissioner District Number Two, and to include said
parcels of land within Commissioner District Number Three.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Weld County Clerk and
Recorder is directed to make changes in the Weld County
Precinct Maps to reflect these actions of this Board.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the
22nd day of October , A.D. , 1979.
