Dear Commissioners:
The Cub Scouts and Leaders of the Weld District wish to thank you for the use
of the county land we used for "Akela Days", 1977. This was our second day camp for
Cub Scouts and I feel it was most successful.
It is an ideal campsite for the experience that we, the camp staff, offer the
younger boys in the Scouting program. If it were not for the generous people like you,
the Scouting program would not be the rich, exciting program that it is.
As Scouters say, "Leave the campsite better than you found it. " I hope we did
this to your satisfaction.
Again, thank you for your generosity.
Sincerely,
Duane A. Hakanson
Day Camp Director
