Dear Commissioners:
In the recent move of the Sheriff's Department into its new home,
many older, but still serviceable, pieces of office furniture and
equipment became surplus.
While we are aware that it is customary to auction such pieces at
public sale, we also believe that the County has the option of
donating or selling them to other governmental entities.
We would therefore, ask that the town of Milliken and more speci-
fically the Police Department thereof be considered as potential
recipients of any available furnishings. We have particular needs
in the areas of desks, filing cabinets, bookcases, chairs and tables.
Naturally, the undersigned or other municipal officials will be
nappy to appear before you if requested to further explain our
request.
