WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colo-
rado, has determined that there is a great need to express unity and patriotic
pride in WELD COUNTY, in the STATE OF COLORADO, in the UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA, and to express and display to the entire world the true strength of
America and the dedication of the people of our great nation in the search and
attainment of an honorable world peace, and
WHEREAS, May 1, 1975, is an appropriate time for all Americans to
honor the men and women within their respective communities whose services in
our nation's armed forces has been a major contribution to the preservation of
our freedom, and
WHEREAS, there is a new generation of gallant Americans who have re-
turned to civilian life after serving the Nation in the finest tradition of America's
willingness to meet the challenge of forces seeking world domination through
armed conflict and subjugation of individual rights and human dignity, and
WHEREAS, the Board is truly greatful for the services of all war vet-
erans in vindicating the principles of peace and justice throughout the world.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commis-
sioners, Weld County, Colorado, and it hereby proclaims Thursday, May 1, 1975,
as LOYALTY DAY, and does hereby call upon all Weld County Citizens to join
with the Board in observing this day with appropriate ceremonies in honor of
those who have borne the burden in defense of freedom.
BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED, that all Weld County Citizens and business
firms within the County mark this day with the proud display of the Flag of the
United States as a reaffirmation of support for World Peace as our national
purpose.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and sec-
conded, adopted by the following vote on the 16th day of April, A. D. , 1975,
