HomeMy WebLinkAbout20193576.tiffRESOLUTION RE: APPROVE ATTESTATION STATEMENT OF ADEQUATE BUDGET FUNDING FOR COLORADO WORKS PROGRAM AND COLORADO CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN SERVICES TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Attestation Statement of Adequate Budget Funding for the Colorado Works Program and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program, from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Department of Human Services, to the Colorado Department of Human Services, commencing August 2, 2019, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said attestation statement, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve and accept said attestation statement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Attestation Statement of Adequate Budget Funding for the Colorado Works Program and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program, from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Weld County Department of Human Services, to the Colorado Department of Human Services be, and hereby is, approved and accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Director of Human Services be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said attestation statement. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 7th day of August, A.D., 2019, nunc pro tunc August 2, 2019. Request Board Approval of the Department's Fiscal Year (FY) 2019-20 County Budget Allocation Letter. The purpose of the FY2019-20 County Budget Allocation Letter is to attest that the County's budget for the Department of Human Services includes adequate funding for the County's maintenance of effort for the Colorado Works Program and the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program. The attached attestation letter and corresponding budget are due to the State by August 2, 2019. I do not recommend a Work Session.
