RE: APPROVAL OF ADDENDUM TO WELD COUNTY LIBRARY LEASE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF GREELEY AND WELD COUNTY, COLORADO.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, a lease agreement for the Weld County Library
between the City of Greeley and Weld County, Colorado has been
executed dated December 22, 1959 pertaining to premises described
as follows:
Beginning at a point west of the east line of Section
Thirteen (13) , Township Five (5) North, Range Sixty-six
(66) West of the Sixth (6th) Principal Meridian, said
point being 2004 feet south and 50 feet West of the
Northeast corner of said section thirteen (13) ; thence
West 300 feet, thence North parallel to the East lire
of said Section 13, a distance of 300 feet, thence
East 300 feet, thence South parallel to the East
line of said section 13, a distance of 300 feet to a
point of beginning.
WHEREAS, an agreement regarding the expansion of the Weld
County Library has been approved by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, an addendum to the Weld County Library Lease Agree-
ment has been presented to the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, said addendum attached hereto and incor-
porated herein by reference at this point, and
WHEREAS, in said addendum, the legal description as indicated
above is amended to read as follows:
Beginning at a point West of the East line of Section
Thirteen (13), Township Five (5) North, Range Sixty-six
(66) West of the Sixth (6th) Principal Meridian, said
point being 2004 feet south and 50 feet west of the
Northeast corner of said section thirteen (13) ; thence
West 300 feet, thence North parallel to the East line
of said Section 13, a distance of 340 feet, thence
East 300 feet, thence South parallel to the East line
of said Section 13, a distance of 340 feet to the
point of beginning.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Addendum to the Weld
County Library Lease Agreement be, and hereby is, approved.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 18th day of
September, A.D. , 1978.

ADDENDUM TO WELD COUNTY LIBRARY LEASE AGREEMENT
THIS ADDENDUM made and entered into this 18th day of
September , 1978 , by and between the CITY OF GREELEY, A MUNI-
CIPAL CORPORATION, Lessor, and WELD COUNTY, A POLITICAL SUBDIVISION
OF THE STATE OF COLORADO, Lessee.
WHEREAS, heretofore the parties have executed a lease agreement
dated December 22, 1959 pertaining to premises described as follows:
Beginning at a point west of the east lire of Section
Thirteen (13) , Township Five (5) North, Range Sixty-six
(66) West of the Sixth (6th) Principal Meridian, said
point being 2004 feet south and 50 feet west of the
Northeast corner of said section thirteen (13) ; thence
West 300 feet, thence North parallel to the East line
of said Section 13, a distance of 300 feet, thence
East 300 feet, thence South parallel to the East
line of said section 13, a distance of 300 feet to a
point of beginning.
and the parties hereto desire to amend and supplement the terms
and conditions of said lease agreement with the intention that the
stipulations hereincontained will be considered as part of the
original agreement, and as if contained in the document above-
described.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and
covenants of the parties, as are contained in said lease agreement
and are contained herein, it is understood and agreed as follows:
The legal description as indicated above and as contained on
Page 1 of said lease agreement of December 22, 1959, is hereby
amended to read as follows:

In other respects, the terms, conditions and stipulations contained
in said lease agreement are hereby ratified and confirmed.

RESOLUTION NO. 63 , 1978
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TIE MAYOR AND APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS
TO SIGN AN ADDENDUM TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
GREELEY AND WELD COUNTY FOR THE REAL PROPERTY ON WHICH IS LOCATED,
THE WELD COUNTY LIBRARY.
WHEREAS, on December 22, 1959, the City of Greeley and
the County of Weld entered into a lease agreement for a site on
23rd Avenue adjacent to the Centennial Park to be used for the
construction of a building to house the Weld County Library; and
WHEREAS, Weld County, acting through the Board of County
Commissioners, desires to expand the building .which houses the Weld
County Library; and
WHEREAS, in order to expand said building and meet the
requirements of the Greeley Zoning Code 1976, it is necessary to
extend the site by 40 feet along the northerly boundary of the
leased parcel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF GREELEY, COLORADO:
Section 1. The Mayor and appropriate City officials are
hereby authorized to sign an Addendum to the lease dated December 22 ,
1959, between the City of Greeley and the County of Weld for a site
to be used for the Weld County Library. Said Addendum is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
PASSED AND ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED THIS 5th DAY
OF September , 1978.
